HDRi is a new technology that involves the taking of approximately five high resolution images of the same scene with minimal artificial lighting. Powerful HDRi software is then used to combine these images to produce just one dynamic HDRi photograph.

Unlike normal images, each HDRi shot has the benefit of enhancing all of the light and dark tones normally lost under traditional photographic methods.

The HDRi image to the left demonstrates how HDRi has perfectly exposed the glass roof, the dark wooden staircase and the internal ceilings of Dorton House, Sevenoaks. Under normal methods, if you were to try and expose the glass roof, the rest of the image would appear almost black!

Mbcre8 has made extensive use of HDRi technology for clients who require both architectural, landscape and product images
